Do any of my fellow adventurers also love reading books and stories about the adventures of others? If so, you're in the right place!
I started this plan a while ago and accidentally let it lapse after our first meeting - if you're a very thorough person and want to read the original plan and comments, you can view it here: http://adventure.gociety.com/plans/160371/gociety-book-club
The time? Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
The place? Denver Bicycle Cafe, 1308 E 17th Avenue
The group will meet approximately once a month. We read two books each month, so that way if people have already read one of the books, they have a chance to read something (hopefully) new instead. Certainly don't feel like you need to read all of both - or even all of one - book to join in; just be ready to come hang out with some awesome people and talk about adventures!
One of the books for our upcoming meeting is Wild by Cheryl Strayed. We also had decided that the other book would be one about the seven summits, but there are tons of books about the seven summits out there and I don't know which one was referred to, so I think it would be best to put that off until the next meeting so we can figure out which book it is and so people have time to read it. So for this time around, let's stick with Wild. Feel free to bring book recommendations or other ideas to the meeting as well!
